Adult Sunday School Classes

Epworth Fishers Class: Epworth Fishers, pictured at left, share in lively discussion around a variety of spiritually engaging studies. Class members include married and single adults from a variety of age groups. This class meets in Room 208. John Stone is the teacher.

Discovery Class: Both single adults and married couples can be found in the Discovery Class, with some of the members pictured at right. Most class members have youth and college-age children to keep them busy. They choose from a variety of adult elective topics to help them grow closer to Christ. Reggie Quiett is the leader. Room 207.

Challengers Class: This class with some members pictured at left, is made up of both couples and singles. They meet in Room 124 with Sunny Hawkins as teacher. The class is Bible study/discussion. The class participates in a number of service projects and has sponsored a young boy from Ethiopia for several years.

Winsome Class: Made up of senior members of First Church, the Winsome Class, pictured at right, gathers weekly in the church parlor for in-depth Bible study. The class is actively involved in a number of programs such as USSV, Mini-School, North Texas State Hospital Volunteer Services and Meals on Wheels. Paul Hawkins is the teacher.

Disciples Class: This class of senior adult women, pictured at left, is warm, friendly, loving, open-minded, and anxious to welcome new members. They share in fun, fellowship and Bible study each week. Room 125.

Lydia Class: Named for an early leader in the church, the Lydia Class is made up of senior adult women who share together in Bible study each Sunday morning. Room 126.

Amigos Class: The Amigos Class, at right, has long history here at First Church! They're a joyful group of senior adults who share in Bible study each Sunday morning. Made up of men and women, the Amigos meet in the church library, Room 123.

Yesterday: This class is for parents of youth in the sixth through 12th grade and is taught by youth minister Tyler Looney. The class meets in the youth department.

Christian Parenting: Geared to parents of children pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, this class is taught by Ruben Vargas. The class, some members are shown at right, meets in the children's department on the second floor.
